The Grill Room

Open early, serving a mighty full Welsh Breakfast to set you up for a day of exploring Snowdonia.

Our evening specials menu concentrates on local produce delivered with a twist. Like chefs pressed Local Ham Hock Terrine with pickled shallots, picallii and toasted ciabatta or how about a Honey Baked Local Yoghurt with scented orange blossom shortbread…

Discover a new dining taste with the thrill of the Grill! Why not try a dish which has been totally cooked over charcoal from our new Spanish Josper oven – the hottest indoor barbecue available! Which adds lots of unctuous flavour from it’s fine embers, increasing the juiciness of the meat by retaining moisture and flavour.

The team at the Grill Room are passionate about serving local, seasonal fresh produce.

Local farms? We source meat as locally as we can – check out their locations on our PGI map – from field to plate with full traceability.

If you’re a steak lover then one of our secret weapons is the Dry Ager – one of the oldest techniques out there. Dry ageing produces a steak that’s incomparable to an ordinary cut of beef, with an aroma reminiscent of butter and nuts. To intensify the flavour even further we use Himalayan salt blocks in the agers, the salt absorbs moisture and helps to purify the air even further.

The Llugwy River Restaurant

Bringing you a menu that celebrates seasonality and local produce. Our food ethos has been influenced over the years as more amazing producers and suppliers have sprung up locally selling, growing and rearing Welsh produce and livestock.

Following on from our Celebration of Wales set menu, the Llugwy experimented with BespOAK happenings and PopUp events. We developed a new menu for summer 2023 season which encompassed our passion for local, seasonal and fresh.

Keep up to date with our new supplier search on our social media pages or check out our food map. We also serve our lounge menu in the Llugwy on Saturday afternoons (cake and cocktails anyone….)

Sunday Lunch

bespOAK events

we serve same menu accross the ground floor alongside a specials board

Please ask your server for any special dietary requests you may have. You can scan the QR code on the menu for a comprehensive allergens list or ask your server for our printed copy.

The restaurant is also available for weddings, corporate functions, family gatherings and celebratory bespoke events – we’ve seen many a memory made and quite a few proposals over the years. The most recent being a ‘will you marry me’ written in chocolate piping on a dessert order…

The Lounge

welcoming, cosy, comfortable

From morning coffee to evening cocktails the Lounge is a space to meet up with friends or relax with a drink after dinner.

Serving a selection of light lunches and snacks showcasing Welsh recipes – one of the faves being our Welsh Rarebit on bloomer – add some Llanrwst smokey bacon for serious local fayre.

Or get your sweet tooth on! From 10am-5pm you can sample our delicious range of sweet treats from homemade fruit scones to locally baked Tan-Lan Teacakes as well as great coffee!

Swap an Oolong for a botanical in the evening and taste test from a whole range of craft gins. Snowdonia has emerged as an artisan haven of late and with our glut of wild botanicals it’s not difficult to understand why makers are being drawn to our naturally abundant area.

Our extensive wine list is specially selected, discover little gems through the menu

Keeping our Welsh link fresh we currently have a fabulous Merlot-Malbec from Patagonia on the list, there’s no hiraeth like Y Wladfa hiraeth!

Please note we’re not a dog-friendly venue – but your four legged friends can find lots of space at Y Stablau or at our sister hotel’s venue Bar 1815
